The Tshisusu Foundation (TTF) is a community – driven non-profit dedicated to empowering individuals and transforming lives by nurturing growth, resilience, and the belief that everyone has the potential to become something beautiful.

"Tshisusu" — a Venda word for the transformation of a pupa into a butterfly, emerging in all its glory as something beautiful. Finding beauty in everyone and everything.

The Tshisusu Foundation is dedicated to uplifting vulnerable communities by providing food support, empowerment initiatives, and compassionate community outreach.

Introducing The Tshisusu Foundation

The Tshisusu Foundation is a registered Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) and Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities across South Africa and abroad.

At the Tshisusu Foundation, we believe every person deserves the opportunity to transform their life with dignity, hope, and support from their community.

Founded in 2018 and based in Parkdene, Boksburg, the foundation works with communities across Greater Johannesburg, KwaZulu-Natal, and surrounding areas to provide food support, essential supplies, and community empowerment initiatives.

Through our food distribution programs, we support over 22 community kitchens, helping provide more than 8,000 meals every month. We also distribute 120–150 food hampers monthly to families facing food insecurity.

Collecting and distributing blankets, warm clothing, and essential items to support families during the cold winter months.

Moms & Babies Support

Providing essential care items and support to mothers and newborn babies in vulnerable communities.

Children's Christmas Party

Bringing joy to children through festive celebrations, gifts, meals, and community activities during the holiday season.

Mandela Day Outreach

Hosting special outreach initiatives on Mandela Day to uplift communities through acts of service, donations, and volunteer work.

Organizing fundraising events and campaigns to support the sustainability of the foundation’s community programs
